Ovation Balladeer Pickups
I love the sound of my Balladeer when i play it acoustically but when i play it through an amp (right now I'm playing it through an Acoustic combo set flat) it no longer has the warmth and round tone i enjoy when not plugged in.
i thought I'd just get a pedal ... like maybe an L R Bagg just to get the tone back but I'm thinking there must be some way to change out the pickups and electronics built into the guitar itself to get the same result. I tried a $3,000 Taylor that had great sound plugged in. I will probably get that eventually but i still want to upgrade the Ovation. I'm open to ideas. |

I have an Ovation Balladeer. You might try the TC Electronics Body Rez pedal just to see what it does along with a graphic EQ or maybe the TC Helicon Play Acoustic. I have the Voice Live 3 and was surprised by the tone shaping it provided.
