Another vote for checking out Toby Walker. Blues lessons for all levels and a great teacher.

I don't know about saying Mississippi John Hurt, to me anyways the syncopation in his fingerpicking songs can be tough. Maybe I'm just not any good.

This song is played in G and D (basically) so YES, syncopation is VERY IMPORTANT in blues.

Syncopation and rhythm is what it's all about.

Mississippi John Hurt plants his fingers on the soundboard.

I'll forgive him.

Default Spike Driver Blues Played Exclusively in G?

Seems that's the case, maybe Gb?

Is Mississippi Hurt playing in standard tuning and the ' flat ' is just the recording speed i imagine.

Taking lessons to easily play blues songs is an oxymoron.

Take Silly Mustache's advice.

Learn some chords and progressions and take it from there.

Your RIGHT HAND (picking) is the key with syncopation and rhythm.

Personally, I find tutorials to try to learn the blues are a distraction and hinderance, at least for me.

Get to know some minimal guitar theory with Key Signatures and what not, and in my opinion, you'll be better off than trying to copy tutorial YOUTUBES.

My opinion only.
