If I use any proletarian picks, they go wherever. I have one of those mic stand things, which is great for grabbing a pick quickly but not-so-great for storing it quickly. I don’t let the proles anywhere near the Blue Chip - they might be a bad influence.

So I usually keep 5 picks or so in my watch pocket in my jeans. They'll end up in the dryer. WHen I'm looking for a pick they all end up in the laundry room. I've got no problem paying $50. Or even more for a cable or a tuner. But a pick?
I thinka not.

I played some fast riffs with my fingertips for about a minute before I had a chance to use my fretting hand to grab the pick.

You learn a lot on stage when things happen.

I have the Gator Frameworks music stand accessory tray with, most importantly, the cup holder, and a slide thingy for picks. However, the pick holder is too tight for my 3.0 Jumbo Flows so I just leave a spare pick on the tray itself.

Not kidding--I saw Sonny Sharrock play years ago. He played hard and must have used thin or otherwise breakable picks, because he broke quite a few during the show. Whenever one broke, he'd flick away the shard he was holding... and pull another pick out of his mouth.

Dunlop rubber pick holder on the mic stand, as others have shown.

Back when I used to break picks, I kept the spare under my wristwatch band. These days, having a spare in my pocket is sufficient. I can't remember the last time I broke a pick or a string.

Just curious....
