I already did buy the nicest sounding (for my ear) guitar I ever played. It’s a Preston Thompson sinker mahogany dred that booms and has so many more overtones than any other mahogany guitar I’ve ever played. I probably spent more than I should’ve but I have no regrets. Now if I wanted to add, I’d probably get a prewar Martin d28.

I’m happy with what I have but if I could find a 1951 Gibson CF100 and had the money, I’d go for it.
Best,
Jayne

Fortunately for me, with the guitars I own I'm last that stage in my life.

Default What Guitar Would You Buy If Money and Price Was Not An Issue?

Like others have said..... a pre-war D45... A close second would be a 2 new Martin custom shops.... A D45 - With an amber burst top and a matching D12-45! Why not[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

Probably a Martin D-45. Don't care how good they sound, lol, just love the way they look!

I don't need another guitar, but I'd like a rosewood dreadnought. It would be fun to hit TME, CME, Carter's, Gruhn's, Dave's, Eddie's, Mass Street, Dusty Strings, and Gryphon in the search. I suspect I'd walk away with a Collings D2HAT.

+1 for McPherson - especially since they're Wisconsin made (I'm a native of Wisconsin), though make mine a Sable Carbon guitar.

Though I admit, that I wouldn't pass ups a 12-string McPherson.

An early 30s Gibson L4 would also be cool.

As long as I have been playing guitar (a few decades) I always wanted a Brazilian/adi 000-42 with a torch inlay. This year - this Collings version came to stay. It exceeds all expectations. https://imgur.com/rd5FJos https://imgur.com/GFd25zb

I like Al's guitar. I have no idea how much it costs, but it sings.

And this guitar below, I believe is really a L2-320, not a 220.
I'm pretty sure its the guitar I bought from John. So I guess I did pretty good
without breaking the bank

Doesn't sound like much...but there's a certain Collings OM at a guitar store fairly close to me that would instantly be in my hands if I had the cash.
