Default A Blues on my Waterloo ladder braced WL-14L

A short blues instrumental based on a traditional style blues, played on my Waterloo WL-14l ladder braced.

Nice! I'm relatively new to blues fingerpicking (this is getting harder to say as I approach two years at it) and I aspire to this level of playing. I don't know how close I'll get (I'm not single minded about fingerpicking - I enjoy lots of other types of playing as well, and I'm better at other stuff), but I hope I get into your league of making it sound easier than it is...

That sounds great. It's really got that old time blues thing going on.

Great stuff BK! You make that Waterloo sound great. I never could find one that I wanted to take home.

Thanks Doug!

You have reminded me that the ladder braced Waterloos are sensational for slide...they just sing and scream in a very ‘vocal’ way because of the bracing.

A certain commitment for slide is needed though - I prefer a thicker string on the 1st at least and that will pull the action up a bit.

Sounds awesome! It’s got a Big Bill Broonzy kinda vibe to it.

I love my ladder braced Waterloo. I agree they have an amazing sound with a slide.

Thanks Ben!

And great to see another ladder braced Waterloo owner!

Bill Collings just nailed the whole 'idea' - and mine still has the factory setup...kudos, kudos and more kudos where due.

Thanks Bob!

The melody is a bit of a cross between something like 'Betty and Dupree' and 'St Louis Blues'.....
