Unlike the NHL, which is more of a gate driven business than the NFL, the fans will help fill some of the coffers, but not nearly as much as the billions they're getting in rights fees from the networks. Yes, billions!

Camera crew is focused on the field so its not bothering me. Although I'll miss those fans without a shirt in January up in Green Bay.

Don’t like the recorded crowd noise. Miss the somewhat authentic reaction of the live crowd.

Don’t like that the announcers still yell as if they are straining to make themselves heard over the crowd’s roar.

Must be weird for the players but didn’t bother me at all either.

Naaaah...owners have ownership of online gambling sites and of course the contract structures with annuities, and there's the "bail out" potential...

I agree. So far, the only sports where the absence of fans has had an effect on the TV viewing experience have been baseball and tennis. Some sports have actually been better.

The fake crowd noise is beyond annoying. NHL had it too, but wasn't that noticeable IMO.

It's like your next door neighbor running a leaf blower for 4 hours while you're trying to watch the game.

I don't care for the fake crowd noise at all, I don't go out of my way to watch a game anymore. In truth I think I have lost interest in it.

Me too! Jumped the shark.... So far I have watched a grand total of 12-15 minutes of NFL out of curiosity, and I may be done for the season now.

One thing I did years ago was watch the TV picture but with the radio coverage of the game as the audio. The radio guys have to paint images with their words, and are just much better at it. I don't mind most announcers, but can easily do without them.

I think it stinks. The ambience of the game is lost.
Just my $.02 worth.
