"Autumn lights" (original) classical and electric guitar version
Good morning,
just recorded two versions of a new fingerstyle piece: "autumn lights". One played with my classical one with my electric guitar. I hope you enjoy listening! I´m thankful for your comments and feedback. If you like it, which version do you prefer? Thank you for listening! |

That's a really nice composition
Hard for me to pick. Works good on both, they stand on their own pretty strongly to my ears.

Caught my attention as I composed a tune with the same name. Yours is a melancholy tune.
Of the two I prefer the classical (though sounds like piezo pickup is part of the sound).

Hi Andre'!
What a beautiful piece! Very well done! Haunting, really... Beautifully done! I like this piece on both the classical guitar and the electric guitar. They both sound terrific! If I had to choose one, I might have to pick the classical performance, but there is something very magical about the electric performance, too! What a cool idea to record this piece on both guitars and see how they come out! - Glenn

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I preferred the electric version. The hollow, haunting tone of the electric seemed to fit the mood of the piece better.

Oh heck. I wanted to go acoustic, this is the AGF after all, but dang, the electric was also great. Maybe a great piece with flawless performance means the axe you use is less important?
Thanks for sharing, and making me feel useless in deciding the debate. Cheers, Dave |

Loved it! Both sound good to me with a preference for the classical.
