Congratulations!

I am still playing in my Martin OMC-15ME that I bought a couple of months back, but it it a great guitar.....

I will go back a way......I read years ago that the Martin OM15 was the one for blues fingerpicking, but the shop didn’t have one and were not even going to order one - they were selling the older 000-15 like hotcakes. Next to it on the wall was the new Martin 000c-15e, cutaway with Fishman pickup and barn door but the narrower 1 11/16” nut. Even though I wanted 1 3/4”, I bought it to try it and thought I could trade it for the OM15 if one came past! I loved the tone as I broke it in but did really want the 1 3/4” nut......which I never saw anywhere, ever! Traded mine after I bought a 1944 Martin 0-17 with the full age mahogany tone, and never thought about the OM15 again until I looked at the webpage of a guitar shop near me recently...........WOW! They just got in the Martin OMC-15ME with 1 3/4” nut and pickup, basically what I should have bought all those years ago!

I wonder if I would have bought or tried so many guitars if I had the OM15 to begin with......I don’t believe I would!

Thanks. I like this. It's good to hear about a solid, happy value being placed on one particular guitar.

I, too, appreciate this nice story
Enjoy the guitar, and the friendship as well

First 4 on Brooklyn Bob's guitar list rounds the bases for me. One day... (My D's a 15M for now and my 000's a 28.)

So what style of music do most 15 series players here do?

I always read that fingerpicked roots/blues was great on a mahogany top, but anything is possible...........what?

Tea for me, but the guitar's the same. It's got such great manners in the morning!

Thank you, both! The guitar looks comfy, because it is comfy - for both of us.

They're great for that, or anything where you want balance and note separation.

I do jazz/americana instrumentals on mine.

Having a friend break in a new guitar for you. Now that's just perfect

I wouldn't want to compete with a banjo with one but the 15's handle just about everything, they're just a tad more mellow.
