Default Merrill 00-18 Mahog/Adi *SOLD*SOLD*

2013 Merrill 00-18 - bought it at the Spartanburg guitar show a few years ago from a private player/collector in Columbia SC - this one stood out for me. This is a great guitar, projects like an OM. The lacquer Jim Merrill (and many others) used during this time was prone to checking which this one did - many hairline top checks and whisker cracks which are not extremely noticeable unless viewed up close - nor do they detract from the sound or tone. Mahogany B&S/ Adi top, 1 3/4" nut. Comes with a Martin 00 poly case in new condition and fits perfect. Setup is similar to vintage saddle height and can be lowered but is fine as is. I don't think many of these are out there. It's a wonderful mid-sized guitar and will not disappoint. (new price) $3,500 net to me - add shipping to lower 48. Not really interested in trades. Pics are here - https://flic.kr/s/aHsmE4k3tk. SOLD/SOLD/SOLD

I have owned 2 of these guitars in my Life and currently own 1 that was made about 15 yrs ago. They are as well made as any Mohagony OM-18 I have ever played and were much praised on Eric Schoenberg's site several years ago where they were favorably compared to the infamous 1930's Martin OM-18's. The base on these models is superior and it is very light and responsive.

Very sorry. I misread the original posting thinking this was an OM not a 00..

Jim Merrill is still building. This is a good deal for a great guitar. I am playing my Merrill OM 28 after owning it for 17 years.

Just got my caliper out and checked - 1 3/4" nut width and 2 3/8" spacing at the bridge. Also checked the weight - 3 lbs - 9 oz. Please let me know if you have any more questions. best, Gill
