Reckon I should hold on to the Lucky for a while longer to avoid these potential regrets. Everyone (even Uncle E to see what all the fuss is about) is welcome to come by or work out visitation arrangements once I have it out and about again.

Evan, you could be "in the middle" on that Lucky 13 idea. In any kind of transaction, it is usually the guy in the middle who make money, regardless of what happens to those on either side. Think lawyers, stock brokers, financial advisors, and real estate agents to begin with. Of course, I believe you have character and wouldn't stoop to that sort of activity.

Oh.. you mean like when McNichols (spelling?) used to put guitars on tour for a mear $50 :-).

I have had many carbon guitars over the year CA Dred, three Rainsongs, a Lucky 13. Sold all but a Rainsongs JM1000 BI and my Emerald Doubleneck. No regrets.

For those who have a McPherson Touring Honeycomb version...

...may you never consider selling it and regretting it after the sale.

I recently sold my CA-GX. Although I had a pang when it left, I have to admit I haven't really missed it as I have several other guitars to keep me occupied.
However I'm possibly going to be working in another city again for a stretch - I am going to miss being able to travel with it with peace of mind.

I often find myself asking "stupid" questions. What is a "CF" guitar? I apologize for asking such a question, but really don't know. Thank you in advance.

Brent;

Good question. It seems like everything is abbreviated now-a-days. Took me a long time to figure out what LOL meant. But I'm getting there. I think the CF means carbon fiber.

Welcome to the CF center of the universe. CFers tolerate non-CFers, so even if you are so antiquated as to play a wooden guitar you are still welcome.

If you are new to carbon fiber instruments you might want to start with looks at Blackbird, Emerald, and Rainsong guitars (the big 3).

should also warn you that once you start looking CF become addictive. If you get started you might find yourself going beyond the big three and engaged in a global revolution of guitar materials and designs.

Enjoy

I had a male friend that thought LOL meant...."Lot's of Love" and wondered why I kept putting it in emails to him. Had to get that corrected fast !

Welcome to the CF forum Brent.
