Woo hoo! A beautiful red Amicus arrived on my doorstep today. I look forward to spending a lot of time with it.

Thanks, Captain Jim. My first impression of the Amicus is that it sounds wonderful, with a light, jubilant sound when played fingerstyle. The fit and finish is impeccable and the action is low enough that playing 12 strings is as easy as playing six. I am totally sold on this instrument. I haven't played it with a pick or plugged it into an amp yet but I expect it will be great.

Congratulations, I look forward to subsequent reports. I've tried 12 strings at different times and always walked away from the size, the tuning, and the difficult finger picking. Your 12 string looks like it resolves my previous objections. And has me thinking......
