How about an audio only, I'm way behind on my recording, working on it....
I'm actually a flatpicking singer/songwriter mostly now, but this is original so I guess it's part of my "style". Quickie one take on a Zoom H4n written for a friend dying of cancer, recorded in the afternoon, took it to the VA hospital, he fell asleep listening and died that evening, RIP Mark. Posted on this forum many years ago...... "Friends along the way..." http://www.soundclick.com/player/sin...&q=hi&newref=1

Man, I don't have the chops of some of the fingerstyle guys here, but I'll give this a go.
I'm writing a set of songs for a demo to send out as a songwriter. As much as I love playing guitar just for the sake of it, it's really a songwriting tool for me (isn't that what a J-45 is known for?). Wrote this a couple days ago. Work in progress, but you get the idea. Also, I've never made a video of myself. That was a weird experience. I was way more self conscious than when I play live! (Side note: This is an iPhone recording so the mic is terrible. The J-45 sounds so much better than it sounds in the recording).

I guess my own personal style is sort of bluesy, not really sure. This is an unnamed original in Open C:

This is an awesome thread. So nice to see all this talent!
I still consider myself a beginner and any music I play is the easy pieces I've been learning as I try to better myself. I still trip all over myself when playing and sometimes it feels like I'll never get there. I've been trying since 2011 when I first joined this forum asking about what would be a good first guitar (Yamaha was the overwhelming suggestion ). So, I do not, as of yet, have the true ability to express myself with the guitar and develop a "style" of my own. That said, I am awed by the talented people on this forum and their passion for music. I hope some day to be able to play at the level of what has been showcased here. Sometimes when opinions clash on here and some discussions go of the rails and people get a bit put off, it is good to be reminded that we are all here for our love of guitar. This was a refreshing thread and I applaud all who have contributed to let shine their personality through music. Bravo!

I guess I could submit the only thing I have recorded that isn't a song I found in a book.
This is a song I wrote called "Dreaming of White Wings". Basically, the muse was my three children, who's names mean Beautiful Dream, White Hawk and Big Sky (Native American inspired,as I am part Native American). I did not do the singing, as I do not sing. The person singing was my guitar teacher at the time. I wrote the music, wrote the lyrics and played the song with multiple tracks to get the leads parts in there. I'm not really happy with the results, as the machine he used made the guitar sound like an electronic midi device... Anyway, this would give you a glimpse of whats in my head.. you just have to use your imagination to clean it up, but I think you'll get the gist. And this is what it sounds like while I'm just messing around and noodling around (was a test of a pickup install)
