Yes I can purchase it for about 1/3-1/2 what that model goes for on Reverb. I agree with your assessment that fixing a neck structurally is a lot easier than hiding that repair. I fixed a headstock once… a good glue joint is stronger than the original wood. So it should play fine. But you’re right, resale value is poor because of that misconception that it’s not as strong or stable as it was originally.
