James May Ultra-Tonic Pickup v3
Up for sale is a new/unused James May Engineering Ultra-Tonic pickup, a passive soundboard transducer pickup that is similar to the K&K but with design improvements, including an integrated feedback cancellation sensor that cleans up low-end boom/muddiness and reduces feedback. According to the website for this pickup, it has about 10 dB more feedback immunity than the K&K. No batteries are required. Soundhole-mounted volume control included. The pickup is great for use in conjunction with the Audiosprockets ToneDexter modeling preamp, but it certainly works well on its own!
This particular pickup has never been installed and is still in new condition. I’ve heard these compared to the K&K, and I believe the advertised improvements are real. For K&K enthusiasts, this is definitely worth consideration!
