On the Hiscox product pages, theres sizing guides that end with:

"The above guide will give you an accurate measurement of your guitar, all guitars are different and we supply for free cushions that can give your guitar a more comfortable fit."

That’s excellent because I do find the fit is a little wishy-washy. Thanks!

Interesting. I’ve been using these for years in my Hiscox Pro II dread case. Can be cut to whatever size needed for body or headstock support. Gives me versatility to securely fit full-size dreads, slopes and Taylor Grand Pacifics in the case.

Brilliant! I haven't seen that one, Rev.

Thanks again, all. Got the Hiscoc Pro-II today, and it seems to live up to expectations. Time will ultimately tell. The 640 TKL will now house my birth-year D-18, and is a fine case for that job. My only complaints about it are the “latch teeth”, the lid tends to close, and least of all, you have to hold onto it when you set it down. It slides on everything. OTOH, I weighed it at 8 1/2 lbs. The hiscox is better in all those regards, except it is just over 10 lbs, still very comfortable weight.
