Default Instagram Live - Michael Greenfield Video Interview

Hello everyone,

My Instagram live chat with legendary luthier Michael Greenfield has just arrived on YouTube - I know many of you don't use Instagram so I hope you'll enjoy the video right here!

These live shows are a little more rough and ready than what I'm used to but we had a great conversation addressing the advantages that a foundation in instrument repair can be for a luthier, building with wood from The Tree, advice for aspiring funk/soul guitarists and the recipe for the perfect espresso.

All the best

Michael

Loved this, man. Thank you for sharing.

Of all the wonderful higher-end guitars I've played at DG, Cedar Rock and Woodstock a few years ago I still have yet to play (or a better wording would probably be "experience") Michael's work. Honestly I don't have a problem with that earlier, feel like it is a privilege and when it happens, it will happen...I didn't think either times I saw him at NAMM or Woodstock I had a right to ask him to play one of his guitars because I'd hate to somehow make it "less perfect" by deadening the strings or putting some micro swirls somewhere in the finish, lol.

Until I get the opportunity again to play one I will enjoy the myriad of great recordings online. Thanks again for sharing this. Great stuff

Thank you very much for watching!

I can personally guarantee that it will be an experience for you! My experience has been that guitars find you when you're ready.

It's available on Michael's YouTube channel so should be there whenever you feel like it. I found it entertaining.
