The best wah pedal I have found is built into Korg’s AX1500G multi effects pedal. It allows setting the amount of sweep/travel, the highest frequency for the sweep, and the lowest frequency. For 15 years it did great service. However, not all the effects are satisfactory (compression is noisy for instance) over the last 3 years I’ve built up a custom board with what I like best for each type of effect. The board includes a Morley M2 wah/volume which is very smooth/quiet, although it lacks a “Q” control, but by a little internal “surgery” on the optical template I’ve been able to set upper and lower frequency limits to the sweep that suit me. Great 2 in one pedal but a little bulky, and ultimately I may change it for the Joyo 2-in-one to free up space.
