Default Green Abalone

I saw a few posts about this.. I’m kind-of digging it. If you have some, I’d love to see it. I’m thinking about maybe doing custom order with it - around the top and soundhole.

Here is some green abalone inlay on one of my guitars, toned Italian spruce top, walnut back and sides. I've found that it is nearly impossible to get photographs that show the truly beautiful color of abalone, and the color shifts so much at different angles that some pieces go dark in a photo. You really have to see abalone work in person.

I kind of like the contrast of greens with blues, and especially a little orange...

Beautiful photos so far. I’m usually a fan of less bling but my Taylor XXXKE has quite a bit of this.

I think this is a prototype and one of a kind. They took the $850 Olympia OD-30SWR, added all the green abalone, upgraded all the wood and the tuners, added ebony bridge and fingerboard. While it has the Olympia headstock, pickguard and label, it has Orpheum position markers. The OD-38SWR went into production as an Orpheum, albeit briefly.
