Default Emerald Owners - Show us your woody veneer...

Pretty self-explanatory, I think. Emerald woody veneers are amazing - let's see yours. Be sure to identify the type of wood...

Cocobolo. Of course it doesn't look anywhere near this good in typical lighting. Like most Emerald, it takes a LOT of light to really show off the carbon weave OR the veneers...

Is it fair to say that in "normal" light, the lighter colored veneers show up best???

I would think so, but I’ve never been around one to see for myself. The lighter stripe in the middle of mine shows up much better in normal light than the grain in the darker part of the wood, but none of it pops like it does under Emerald’s studio lighting...

That really is a beautiful X7 Ray. I think Emerald uses something close to daylight for their glamour shots- I bet it shows up nice outside?

Those two cocobolo veneers are gorgeous!

Louro preto. It was one of the second Select Series offerings. I was considering a veneer (probably would have gone with cocobolo) with black CF back and sides, when this one appeared. And no wait!

The above is Emerald's "glamour shot". This is what I saw when I first opened the case...

Three years in with it, next month. Still makes me smile.
