Yeah, that’s over the top. Heh, the audience keeps insisting on clapping on 1 and 3. Gotta love it when audiences do that. What? Oh, I mean you pros gotta love it, not me, ha-ha.
I think he’s a very good guitarist, though. He’s got every grip down tight and he even manages to get some nuance in there, despite the breakneck pace. But that doesn’t mean it’s not overkill. I’ve (discreetly) walked out of performances like this because it feels like I’m being smothered.
