Building my first baritone ukulele
Not that you think I'm stretching lazy on the sofa ...
Last May, I was able to purchase a nice set of tineo wood and some small parts for building an acoustic guitar. For optimal safe shipping, the vendor had sandwiched it with two maple pieces and two spruce top halves. These parts lurked on the shelf in my small workshop and kept encouraging me to use them after all. The finished tineo guitar is now just waiting for the final spraying in the warmed-up garage ... soon ...temperatures are around the freezing point now After I got a lot of necessary information from the net and also a plan for a (completely new to me) baritone uke from Oregon, I started building. Here are a few photos: On the left is the back made of some tineo strips glued together The top is very simple spruce with relatively wide annual rings. Actually, I wanted to take Western Red Cedar, but as I don't have it I might give it a try with this wood. Gluing the end block Bending the sides Guitar shape is visible Btw. I like to use fish glue The kerfed lining
