I am very sorry for your loss. The devotion you showed your parents was unbelievable. They have a very good son. I trust they are together again and well.

At the same time, since I did not know them, while it is very sad they are gone, I am glad for you that you can start to regain your life now. You certainly deserve it!

And reunited with my late brother as well. I kept reminding her of the reunion.

Todd, thanks for sharing this sad news on your mother's passing. My deep sympathies! I know it's quite a shock with the realization that she is really passed on, even though expected. Being there at the end, I'm sure, completes the promises made and the journey you set out to fulfill.
My best wishes to you in the days ahead as you rest and recover.
Fred

I cried uncontrollably for about a half hour after she passed - I took that time to stay with her and didn't tell the staff she was gone.

Right now (11pm) I'm actually feeling like I must have gotten most of it out, and have a sense of peace knowing I've gotten through (hopefully) one of the toughest things I'll ever have to do.

Sorry for your loss.
I have read that before, and truly believe it. There have been many times in the last four years I've felt my Dad's presence.

Losing a parent closes perhaps the largest chapter of your life. It's so tough to let go.

You have comfort and peace in knowing you did the very best you could for both of them.

Indeed, Todd....when speaking about my own mother's passing (Alz/cancer)/and caregiving, I make that comment about it being the most difficult thing I've ever done. Going through this makes you a different and I believe, a better person. Glad to learn of your sense of peace!

Sorry to hear the news. You did well. Hoping for peace and healing for you, too.
Music will return at its proper time. Your parents know what you did for them.

Todd, your parents were fortunate to have you as a son. My condolences and hope that you find peace and contentment.
