Default Going Under The Knife

My last gig. Which was my first real solo gig since moving to Kansas Cit Metro.

Left me with a collapsed lung. Why? I don't know.

Dr. attributes it to all my years as a smoker. I quit 5 years ago.

Went in to hospital. They inserted a chest tube for 4 days.

Aproxemately one month later, it happened again.

Have had current chest tube linked to a dry drain for nearly a month now.

So today I go in for pre op. I'm guessing Lab work maybe ekg, Covid test and such.

Thursday is the day. I go in a 5:30am surgery at 7:30 to staple a hole in my lung.

Found out my surgeon is a guitar player. Has a band. All Dr's.

He asked if I knew how to play 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover. I said sure.

He asked me to teach it to him.

Told him, Keep me alive. And I'll teach you every song I know.

Good luck, EZYPIKINS!

Will be sending you good vibes on Thursday (while humming “fifty ways to love your lever”).

You've established some karma with the good Dr, the guitar player. Best Wishes with the surgery and a healthy recovery!

All the best and I hope you'll be jamming the Bee Gees 'Stayin Alive' with your Dr real soon.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

I've been vaccinated fully.

Tested so many times I can't count.

Of course, I'm a musician. I can't count past 4.

Says full recovery will take about 3 weeks.

I will have my OM-28 in hospital with me again.

I wake up in the middle of the night and play.

So nurses decided I have insomnia.

Thanks again everyone Merry Christmas

Got in to pre-op nekkid with IV in place and they canceled. Dr in surgery ahead of me ran long.

So, sent me back home a rescheduled for next week.

Good thing I had gotten used to hurry up and wait, years ago.

Ratt fuzz!!! That's a bummer. We'll pray for a safe and successful round two, eh?

Good luck with your surgery 2nd time around. A collapsed lung is no fun.

Good thoughts coming your way!
