Default D'Agostino

Anyone ever play/own a D'Agostino acoustic? I have a Taylor 415, but I also have a mid-70s D'Agostino. It's a copy of a Martin D-41. It has abalone inlays around the soundhold, abalone inlay around the body of the guitar, and abalone hexagon fret markers. The logo is also inlaid. It's a spruce top with rosewood (brazilian?) back and sides.

I've owned dozens of acoustics, and my 415 is definitely my favorite. But the D'Agostino plays beautifully, better than any Martin I've owned. It's not a loud guitar, but for sitting around the house and fingerpicking, it's fantastic.

From what I've read, D'Agostino imported electric guitars in the 70s and 80s, but the acoustics were made in the US, I think in Milwaukee.

Anyone play one? Know anything more about them?

Thanks,
Chris
