Snake River Reel
I first heard this tune at old-time jams on the East Coast, then heard it again at a jam in San Diego Saturday. I spent yesterday looking for a guitar lesson on youtube, and couldn't find one, though there are plenty of people playing it on fiddle, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, and hammered dulcimer. I thought it was a traditional tune, but one of the youtube videos credits Peter Lippincott in 1985 with writing it.
Here is the chord structure: Ax2 |D / / / |A / / /|D / / / |D / / / | |D / / / |A / / /|D / A / |D / / / | Bx2 | C / G /|D / / /| C / G /|D / / /| | C / G /|D / / /| D / A/| D / / /| https://soundcloud.com/jim-adams-bal...e-river-reel-1 CK |
