Default Fishman Aura DI - Connect Pedal Effects Loop???

The Aura DI has a TRS connector for an effects loop. I don’t understand how to add a pedal loop. All of the loop connections I’ve used have send and return connections. Based on the Aura DI’s connections I don’t see how you can add the loop. Maybe I’m wrong but it appears that an effects loop has to be added after the Aura.

You could use one of these Y cables and plug your pedals into it. The Fishman's 1/4 jack is stereo (trs) so it has send and return wired to one jack instead of two. I had the same pedal and that's how I did it.

Thanks for your response. I looked at the cables specs and they weren’t specific. Is the signal split to right and left or output/input or are they both the same split signal? I’m assuming that you need the R/L style to get a send/return signal. Again I’m guessing that sleeve is common and the tip and ring connections are send receive.

TIP send, RING return is the de facto standard for single jack effects loop connections. We do the same on ToneDexter.

We'd have liked to provided two separate jacks, but alas not enough room for that. I'm guessing Fishman had the same dilemma.

Thanks for the wiring info. I’m on the fence between Tonedexter and Aura. My problem is that I have two Taylor ES1 Guitars that I have no intention of replacing. If I was in CA I’d have them upgraded but shipping plus upgrade fees for both would be expensive. I just did some additional research and downloaded the Aura DI program. There were no images for my Voyage-Air or Rainsong guitars. They listed my Taylors but did not specify if they were ES1 or ES2 version images. That made my purchase decision easy - it will be a Tonedexter even though it doesn't support my Taylor ES1 guitars.
