Ace varnish no longer avaliable?
I've been looking on the Ace website, and cannot find the A276 oil varnish listed. I am starting to think they have dis-continued it.
But, on the other side of the coin, Sherwin Williams has a 30% off coupon for stains and finishes good until the end of March. So I guess I'll get a gallon of their fast dry oil varnish before it disappears from the shelves also!

Strange. I was just looking at Ace Varnish last month and book marked this page but now it looks all screwed up:
http://www.acehardware.com/product/i...uctId=12664447 But anyway, I have used the SW Fast Dry and I do like it but it does seem a bit soft. I brushed it on and cut it a bit with some mineral spirits. After having used Tru-Oil I'd probably not go back to the SW stuff. Though again I did like it but the Tru-oil which as far as I can tell is also a varnish type finish was a lot easier to apply and it looks the same. I'm trying Royal Lac now for the first time. The never ending quest for the perfect finish continues.... |

That's what I'm getting also, like the web page is corrupted.

Ace website remodel
Ace is in the process of a complete website rebuild. When done it will reflect the inventory and pricing of your local Ace.
All items will still be available from their warehouses, so check with your locally owned Ace Hardware to see about availability. Depending on your state it could be restricted by them, but it looks like all of their warehouses have it in stock. Hope this helps.
