She's spent a lot of years busking around the country. She shows up in a lot of clips of street bands in Seattle and New Orleans. Love her vocal phrasing. Has a good record label and promotion now. Hope it doesn't ruin her.

There's a Hardly Strictly Bluegrass clip from this year on YouTube. I liked the Covid lock down group with a talented fiddle/mandoln player. A self admitted ADD type, she won't stick with one thing for long. Could hurt or help her.

So I downloaded some of her tunes on Amazon Music, and darned if she's not channeling Van Morrison on one of them. Unreal how Van-like the phrasings.

Then Amazon, shuffle-picking from other tunes I got from their cloud, many of which I had not cued up, plays me Emi Sunshine doing "Ragged Dreams."

Which blew me away. I was alone in the truck, alone except for the corgi, and had it cranked up. Emi, backed with a string bass, mandolin, accordion, guitar, and drum. Loretta, Dolly, y'all step aside for the new little girl from Tennessee, Ms Sunshine.

Where do these guys learn to play like that?

"These pictures on the wall, they always make me blue."

Thanks! This one is definitely worth embedding here. And probably in the "campfire guitar" thread too!

Those hog top dreadnought guitars just sound awful, in a wonderful way! Particularly with nearly dead strings!

This one is wonderful! Is that the world's worst J45? With the deadest possible strings that will still tune (just) ? Whatever, she makes it sound just perfect LOL!

Anybody know what kind of band she's touring with?
