Whatever comes with them. The one that came with my Yamaha is of a pretty good quality. The one that came with my RainSong is up there with some of the worst and cheapest hard cases I’ve seen. The RainSong sits on the stand 24/7 so it doesn’t matter all that much.

Thankfully most all guitars I buy come with a hard case and that’s what I use. If they don’t come with a hard case, I buy that companies hard case for it. That’s what I did for 2 of my Yamahas, an AG1-HC case for the FG710s and an AG3-HC case for the FS820.

All my guitars came with hardshell cases. But for travel I have an ivory dread-size Hiscox Pro II. Great case. Like others have said, relatively light weight but offers plenty of protection. Now I need to track down a Hiscox for my new OM...

I have two SKB cases like yours in the picture, most are the 5 plywood "Gieb" cases or TKL case and some are SilverCreek cases which IMO are a great deal.

SKB for my GS Mini. I'm not particularly careful or gentle sometimes and I take my guitar with me places, so the SKB does the job.

For transport the Martin case that came with it. (HD-35) In the room I keep it in an Epiphone EJ-160 case flat on the floor because its longer with enough room to keep a coffee cup with water after the headstock to help humidify along with a sound hole humidifier.

I use the cases that come with my guitars around town and between home and studio.

I've always been satisfied with the case the guitar came with. Currently very impressed with the Armitage that came with my Breedlove CM.

Im looking for a SJ case. I looked at the Hiscox case provoked by this thread and it looks like they only come in D and 000 sizes. Is that correct?

It's a price thing.
The more you pay the more you usually get, which usually means means a case.
Pay even more and you'll probably get an even better case.

Hi LD
One of the new 'strategies' at music stores is to sell the case separate from the guitar.

It used to be that all Martin, Taylor, Guild, Gibsons were sold 'case included'.

Not always true these days.

By the way I have 2 Caltons (Olson and Baskin) and Cedar Creek (Kronbauer) and that is the way I ordered them when commissioning them.
