Very cool. Good story and the complementary hues of blue and orange really make this one pop.

Really enjoying this post. It is so nice to connect a name with a picture. After all these years I finally get to see what everyone looks like. Lots of fun.
Enjoy seeing Early photo's of everyone as well. After all...Music is a journey. At Fifteen for the first picture with a 1880's Martin Classical. In my mid twenties Mid-1970's with Ovation 12string . Late 70's with Martin D-35 and Gibson Es335. Canoeing in Canada in the 1990's with old Yamaha Red Label FG180. Sold all of the guitars above years ago except for the old Yamaha...and that will go soon. And Now just two years ago...No hair, pounds heavier...but still all of the love for the Acoustic Guitar! With my prized Larrivee D-40 Walnut and Moonwood. |

I see that some folks have posted some electric photos. I have owned three electric guitars.
Here's a rough sketch that my brother Bob made of me and my ES-175 circa 1967. He used it for this painting during his cubist phase. This is the only photo that I have of the ES-175. This is a period when my beard was shaved so prior to 1980. My brother Dave is playing my ex-wife's FG180. This is an Epiphone Emperor (the precursor to the Joe Pass) that I owned around the turn of the century. I sold it to my brother Dave. And finally, a Tele clone that my son and his wife gave me about 22 years ago. On the last few days of school two other teachers and I worked up a little R&R show for the kids. I was 56, Jim Noble, the drummer, was in his mid- forties and Ian Jack, the lead singer, was in his mid-twenties. I didn't know most of the songs that Ian chose from groups like GreenDay. . . so I insisted that we play at least 2 songs from before Ian was born. We played Sunshine Of Your Love, Born To Be Wild and a generic blues. We called ourselves Jack & The Jims. We also played at my retirement party later that week which had an open mic. I still own this guitar, but only plug it in a couple of times a year.

Thanks, my now long gone Canon F1n and 15 m/m lens, set up by me, button pressed by Dobro player Pat's wife, developed and printed by me.
Sadly, I sold all my 35 m/m gear ... for a song!

Here's one from the early 70's. My friend Steve was playing his Ovation 12 string and I was playing my D35. We were playing at a 50th Anniversary party.
This pic was taken last fall a few days after we got this rescue kitten...yes I was playing Long Tail Cat to him.

I thought this was a cool pic. The photographer at the event caught the moment that my string broke.

I’d forgotten about this one, but when I saw it, I had to share this one. We’d just finished an Aloha From Hawaii 40th Anniversary show(Not cheesy, but true to the original with the Stamps Quarter performing with us) and this little guy stole the show! I had to get my picture made with him afterwards!

No matter how much my playing improved, my cats never tolerated it. You've got a winner there.
