Whilst I'll certainly agree that many guitar designs are works of art, these are not for me.

Not my thing at all. I come from the "chrome don't getcha home" camp - originally from the motorcycling world, I expand the concept to every endeavor. For musical instruments it's all about tone and playability. Sure pleasing lines, looks, wood never hurts. I prefer clean, uncluttered, understated style. I don't even like sunburst finishes.
