Oh wow! If that isn't the nicest bevel on the planet I don't know what is!

Great to see the final photos. I think I'll make a cup of coffee and just stare at them for a while

Congratulations: Fabulous looking guitar and I know that it will sound astonishing since Rory is right at the top of the luthier game right here, right now.

I have to admit, I rather like the abalone as well; should have asked for some on mine.

I'm jealous of all those who have visited Rory's workshop - I was intending to pick mine up in person last year but the pandemic intervened and the world ended. I might drop by in 2022 if he'll let me, since my wife is from Aberdeen and we're planning a visit North that will, hopefully, actually happen this time.

Cheers,
Steve

Default NGD!!!Taran Oreval build thread:Madagascan/Adirondack - FINISHED!

Incredible! These are extraordinary guitars. Many congrats, very happy for you! Gorgeous woods, and kudos for convincing Rory and co to add the shell into the rosette. An arm twist, I’m sure!

Enjoy enjoying this wonderful instrument!

P.S. For anyone wondering, these folks really know how to build with Adi.

Thank you for the great replies... apologies for not adding anything else to date, but to busy playing this rather great instrument and getting to know it better. There will be some pro-pics in the coming weeks for those interested and will try and find a way of describing it in more detail. Just love it... and the bright pink Calton case with burgundy interior is a thing of ...

For Scallywag... the rest may want to ensure you are wearing shades... perfect match to go with the pink paua and burgundy/purple heart perf lines ;-)
