I hope your right. When Alex Ryan did his video comparing the Taylor, Martin and X20. I thought the Taylor sounded the best. The X30 I ordered is arriving next week.

Default Ovation - Adamas carbon fibre series

Ovation Guitars - sold through dealers

ovationguitars.com/adamas

History:
- Ovation has a 50+ year history of guitars targeted for stage amplified performance. Guitars were favourite with many big name performers recognizable in videos by the decorative headstock extension.
- Key features are a durable tuned "lyracord" one piece bowl back/sides, wood necks, wood sound boards, and excellent pickups.
- The "Adamas" series uses a carbon fibre sound board.
- The Ovation division of the Kamann company was sold several times over the decades. New owners have revived Ovation Guitars and are expanding the number of dealers.

I'm finding this valuable as I search for a short(er) scale CF guitar. Now I need to find sound bytes or opinions on how the smaller body guitars fare. Most interested in fingerstyle, unamplified, and mostly for myself and not a crowd. FWIW, I'm a fan of Taylor style necks.

Particularly interested in comparisons between McPherson Touring and Emerald X7 (current version). Who's played them both?

Interesting that the offshore manufacturers seem to think that guitar length is something that matters.

I’ve no idea how long any of my guitars are, nor do I care - it’s not a metric that has anything to do with playability or sound.

Agreed, though if interested in traveling with a guitar I suppose total length is good to know.

"Cool new guitar! How does it sound? How does it play?"

"It's 34 inches long... what's not to like?"

Maybe I am the only one that actually has looked at overall length? I do travel with my CF guitars and one of my wooden ones. When I was in a smaller cockpit it mattered more to me but the overall length does matter sometimes. I don’t take the Sable if I want it to “look” shorter.
That said, it is not usually the deciding factor but it can matter.
