Default Taylor Heel Strap Button Location

I need to put a strap button on the heel of my R. Taylor and need some measurement assistance. I know you have to be pretty specific about placement because of the neck being bolted on. Can someone give me a measurement for placement? I have read that it's two inches below the fretboard, but I wasn't sure if that was for an older neck or the newer necks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the dimension, but I know you can google images and get a good idea - If I recall correctly it was exactly mid-point of the heel's length. Pictures online will show you very safely how far down to go.

I tried that and couldn't tell much about the dimensions. I figured someone here would probably know the exact measurements. I even found an old service bulletin from Taylor, but I'm not sure if that is the old neck.

Taylor used to have a spec sheet for that on their website. I’d start there.
