It lives!

Though I have not received the guitar yet, John describes it as follows:

"Clear crisp but musical trebles. Moderate dry mids. Nice well-focused bass. Fairly loud and responsive to a fairly light touch. You can hear a Martinesque midrange, which is something I like to have in all my guitars."

Wow!! Beautiful guitar with impeccable craftsmanship. I like the photo of the back braces notching into the linings - so clean and tidy!
Lucky you; enjoy this beauty!!

Hello,

Now that I've had a few months with the Circa, I thought I'd share my thoughts

The guitar sounds fantastic. Overall, it is a very even, sweet sounding guitar with a blooming vintage personality. After the first few months, the trebles shimmer a little more, and the bass notes are a little throatier. When I first received it the guitar was already resonant, but that resonance has evolved a bit into a chime-like beauty.

I seem to gravitate towards playing finger style on it, I think because the notes are so clear. And there’s something about it’s responsiveness. There is more sustain than I would have thought from ebony, yet still the individual notes are clear.

It certainly picks up any mistakes I make! More noticeably than any other guitar I have played. That’s a tribute to it’s note-for-note perfection.

The neck is so playable I don’t tire on it at all, even after extensive playing. However John carved it, it makes playing more pleasurable.

And, well, sometimes I just stare at it. It’s so beautiful. The craftsmanship is museum quality.

No recording or video yet, but hopefully soon.

Smile Fabulous Circa

That has got to be one of the nicest looking Circa guitars I have ever seen. I almost ordered a Beneteau guitar with Mun Ebony. Now I wished that I had followed through with it. As others have said before, the woods and details on your Circa are stunning.

Congratulations!
