Interesting look at the original:

What a great story. I have the utmost admiration for Marty Stuart - he's a consummate musician, and a true custodian, practitioner and proponent of country music and its people, traditions and heritage.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Marty was wonderful in the recent Ken Burns movie. I got to see him a couple of years ago with his band and it was a very, very high level of musicianship.

Great story. (Love the sound of a B-bender Telecaster).

One of the highlights of my life was grabbing that guitar and giving it a squeeze.
Marty and his band had finished their show at Buck Owens Crystal Palace, a mile from my house. The room was dark. The audience was gone. The band had exited. I asked Marty’s stage hand if I could just touch the guitar. He said yes, so I jumped on the stage and put my right hand on it, gripping with all I had, just trying to connect to Marty and Clarence in that moment.

That is a GREAT clip! Longtime fan of Clarence White; even before I knew what a "B Bender" was, I'd listen to the Byrd's double record set, "Untitled" and marvel at the noise that Clarence made; easier to hear on the live record with only 4 players' noise to sift through... never knew that the "pedal steel" on "You Ain't Going Nowhere" was Clarence on the B Bender; always thought it was Lloyd Green on pedal steel...
Like others, I really wasn't familiar with Marty Stuart before I began watching the Ken Burns film, but I grew to really enjoy what he added to the movie in the early segments. I just finished watching the segment with him as one of the focal points, and I was struck by the thoughts of "Well, THAT'S who that guy is and why he's there!" Really fun video, even though it reminded me of the tragic loss of Clarence White, way back when...

I saw Gene Parsons in a small club here in England a few years ago, and he was playing an acoustic with the b-bender fitted.
He showed me the mechanism inside and how it worked and I was suitably polite, but I would certainly not have it on an acoustic.

Just saw Marty this summer with Steve Miller. Loved his set. Steve Miller may have all the hits and they were great but Marty and his gang had the sizzle.
