Getting OH So Close
Peter has updated me a bit on my SJ nearing the end of its birth! Looks like the neck should be carved out hopefully this week... Best that I can tell it'll be finishing and attaching the neck, bridge, pickup setup, tuners... cross-country plane trip and then Making some music.

That's going to be a real nice guitar! Congratulations!
Peter - I hope you got those green clamps cheap. They're dutt ugly.

Here's some progress on the last piece of the SJ puzzle
Rosewood backstrap to match the back and sides: This is the shot of the 2 piece Cornerstone logo... Very Cool! I'm thinking about having the neck stained a bit to match the back and sides... It's so hard for me to visualize the pieces of the puzzle all together... like should we stain the neck or not... I'm hoping Peter can help me make the right decision!

The neck looks very nice! Go with staining the neck, especially if Peter thinks it's a good idea. I like the way mine turned out a lot!

I think that guitar will look awful when finished, so much so, I think you have to give it to me to deal with it....
Man am I jelous of you both. One for having the chance to buy such a gorgeous guitar and the other for having the ability to make such a gorgeous guitar. I love the look of necks with different woods rather than just a one piece wood neck. They give guitars so much character. |
