My board features a Sovtek 12ax7 loaded ART Tube Preamp and a Whirlwind IMP2 DI. I mostly go ampless.

I haven’t used a real amp in years. I used Amplitube almost exclusively until recently when I picked up a Boss IR-200 which I’m really liking.

Bought my first acoustic guitar amp I ever owned recently. Played sole through "my" schlepped PA for over 40 years.
I was PA owner, hauler, sound man. I was the only one concerned enough to spend the money on quality sound. As technology improved. Sound system components multiplied. And training became necessary. Bought the cheap Fishman Mini. I figured anything I buy will pale in comparison to a mid-sized format PA. So why spend a bunch of money on one. If I want quality sound, I can haul the PA out. I have the POD Go which has the basic Helix patches, and an ALTO TS312 powered speaker. The Helix amp and cab models sound very good and the effects are top notch but it still isn't the same feel as I get through my Princeton or Deluxe Reverbs. There is something about the way a great tube amp pushes air that it just can't reproduce, but I'm sure for 99% of gig situations it would work fine with a monitor.
I've also gone direct with just some basic stomp boxes and the Joyo American Sound as my preamp. That works very good also. An inexpensive way to eliminate the need for an amp at a gig, also great as a backup incase an amp takes a dump on you.

I think I'm a candidate for ampless..I'm so tired of trying to find a decent-sounding amp..
I find more happiness with a Zoom G1-Four but even that needs an upgrade because it's not all the way there for me.. So I'm watching this thread for pedal board ideas I'll be running it into a JBL Eon One Compact

A friend who totes a Marshall half-stack to gigs showed me his Hotone backup amp. I stopped laughing when he plugged it into his 4x12 cab!!

I've got a Zoom G1-Four and A1-Four I could make due with on a pedal board..but the IR thing has me intrigued
Is there any IR multi-effect units that have more than one channel so I can set it up for Electric and Acoustic? or will I need a A-B switch

The HX Stomp is stereo and supports 2048 coefficient IRs too.

"We always have monitors in the van" I think you're doing exactly what I recommended, bringing along your own backline. For years I carried the same Peavey Minx 110 bass amp that was a true workhorse. It took care of any stage monitor duties I ran into, and even served as emergency seating when I played lap steel in a new venue that didn't have an armless chair in the whole building. I get the feeling that many commenting have never owned and regularly gigged with a great amp.

I’ve had a Helix since they came out. Have a Kemper head then stage. Quad Cortex is finally at a point that I can gig it and I’m trying to since it’s so light weight. Had. Fractal FM9 that sounded great but the user interface was too much for me, even in simple mode. They made things more difficult than they needed to be. Sold that one. I have some amazing amps, but my last 2 bands have been amp less with in ears.
