Default Pictures from Healdsburg

Thanks for the great photos. I just returned from a full day of sensory overload. It is impossible to imagine all the various works of art displayed in one location. From the ornate in the extreme, to simplicity at its best. The talent, vision, creativity, workmanship, and the great people that have made guitars their life's work made this a wonderful experience. As great as the guitars are, it really is the builders that make this event so great. I made a list, based mostly on what I have learned from the AFG, of which builders I would make an extra effort to meet. That was the easy part. I ended up talking with more than I can remember. Also went to the after hours meeting at Harvey Leach's and Tim McKnights rooms. Got to just pick up anything I want and play as much as I wanted. What great hosts they and their families are. Got to See J.R. From AGF receive his new McKnight meteorite guitar. He certainly never stopped smiling. I am glad I had the chance to come to this years show. Start making your plans for 2015 now. You will be glad you did.

That's great, Doug. What a striking guitar! Hope someone will find a way to share your playing it with us here.

Thank you so much for posting the pics.

I think the beautiful dreadnought shown in the Noble guitars pic is from Harvey Leach though?

It is indeed my 40th Anniversary guitar... but it's important to understand that after a few hours at this show... things tend to blur together Nice shot of it Thanks!

Again, Thanks +++ from those of us thousands of miles away, for taking the time to post these.

Now:

1. More please!

2. Lets hear some impressions: Which guitars stood out? What were the show-stoppers? Whose performances were mind-blowing?! What surprised you the most?

Have a great Saturday festival; very jealous...perhaps 2015 for me?

cheers,
Steve

Nice job Kevin! I can't upload to my website so my pics won't be up until after I get home ... So yours are up plenty faster than mine.

Hey, I just realized that's me in the foreground checking out that guitar. I'll try to face the camera better next time

Sweet! Thanks for posting. Most of us can't go, so I'm sure these are appreciated.

The best sounding (or one of) I guitar I ever played was a friend's Ryan. Just outstanding tone and clarity across the whole range. Absolutely gorgeous looks and sound.
