Thank you, Rod. "Relaxing" is a description I hear often of slack key. I tell folks it's the only style of music where falling asleep is a compliment.

By the way, what is your tuning for "Silver Threads?"

Thanks very much, we're doing much better.

Do you ever fool around with slack key or Hawaiian music in general?

Thanks, JM. I had to wait until our Hawai`i gang left to get in there, and then the construction started next door ... but I enjoyed shooting in a different light.

Mr. Yamamoto is definitely a creative/modern builder rather than a traditionalist. He's done many fairly radical designs and experiments relentlessly.

Tony brought this OMY by the house one day, just to get an opinion on his new build. My sweetheart was a bit taken aback when I told her we were buying a new guitar, she called Tony "that baaad man" for a few years afterward.

I have you to thank for this one, I heard your demo of a Kathy Wingert guitar a while back and liked the tune and the feel of the piece. I tuned to Drop G (DGDGBE) then 5-string capo 2nd fret, rather than drop the 6th to C.
