Default The 100 Mile Yard Sale...

Starts next week. These things can get expensive if you have interest in musical instruments, straps, amps, pocketknives, old American Made tools and on and on and on...

Whoah...I always slow down when driving by yard sales. You never know when a valuable old closet queen guitar might be making an appearance.
But I've never heard of one so long. A few days worth of looking for sure. I hope they have a lot of well stocked ATM's along that route 25!

I've left skid marks in front of garage sales, only to discover that what I thought was a vintage tube amp was just a tweed suitcase. DOH!!!

I enjoy Antiques Road Show on PBS. Almost every show includes someone that purchased an item at a garage/yard sale for a few dollars. Often, they are shocked that that artwork, vase or jewelry is worth tens of thousands of dollars, and they almost collapse in disbelief. Once in a while they are asked what they use a vase for.... sometimes they reply we keep dog treats in it...not anymore.

Best score I ever had at a garage sale was a 2010 Orange Crush 12 PiX. They wanted $ 20, I only had $ 10 cash on me. The Mom wanted it gone & I was about the only one that had even looked at it all day.

Yep. One Tstorm and Tornado warning after another. Fortunately for us here no really serious stuff. Yet.

I saw this on Small Town Big Deal once and it looks like a lot of fun. (Great TV show, by the way. Highly recommended!)
