Default Electric guitars knobs that go to 9

Have any of you seen an electric guitar knob that goes to 9. Saw 4 on a guitar today. I have only previously seen 10s.

I’ve never seen that. I do, however, have a Peavey Classic 20 tube amp from the ‘90s whose knobs all go to 12. Not an alteration, btw: that’s how Peavey made them.

Tens are louder. If the knobs only go to nine you have to get new ones so people can hear you.

No numbers at all on my tele knobs. Must be a silent guitar!

I have never seen a knob that only goes to nine. I do, in fact, use the numbers, especially the tone control knobs on guitars with four-knob systems. I don't use them slavishly, but they tell me when I am in the ballpark. I do the rest with my ears.
