Man, I've had a lot of Carvin gear over the years. All from the late 80s through mid 90s:
X100B 100 watt tube head (meh, but perhaps semi-good for it's day) 4x12 cab with Magnalab speakers (cheap speakers; not a good sound. Peavey cabinets with their brand speakers were way better, than the Carvin brand speakers... but both were available with Celestion for $$ FET1000 power amp (good, durable amp; no complaints) 1/3 Octave Graphic EQ (meh... didn't sound that good) XC1000 Stereo Crossover (good crossover, no complaints) V220 guitar (great guitar; one of best values available) LB60 20 bass (good, solid bass) AE185 guitar (solid all around guitar) They made much better than average guitars for the money. I still have all three, but none of the other stuff. My experience with the amps and PA stuff was kind of mixed. Nothing wrong with it, but I feel like maybe the Peavey stuff of the 90s was a little better overall than the Carvin stuff.
