It's a beauty! Congratulations on building a fine guitar. You'll play it a lot, I bet.

I love it Kevin! The little things all tie in nicely with one another and makes for a truly unique instrument. I'm sure it will be one of the top favorite guitar of yours forever (if not THE top).

Thanks, Tom--we did try to keep it simple as it was a student build. I'm really happy with the results and hope that the tone and sound will be up to par. Looking forward to bringing it to BIG III!

Thanks, Dan--your student guitar was certainly a beauty as well. Thanks for checking it out.

So Ryan just sent me some final pics of this guitar. Needless to say, I'm pretty blown away by the looks of this beauty! The Padauk just came alive with the finish, and the Moradora provides such a nice complement to the overall aesthetic. Steve did such an awesome job on the neck as well with his color and fading--it really adds to the look as well. Both Steve and Ryan have been impressed thus far with the tone, and I'm really looking forward to hearing it sing in my hands. Steve plans to do a video later today prior to shipping it out, so I'll share that once he sends it my way.

Can't wait--I'll share my impressions once I've had some time to become acquainted. Here are the pics...

Thanks for checking it out!

Hi Kevin - that did really end up being a gorgeous guitar to look at with heaps of fine detail work. The Padauk in particular turned out stunning. I hope this guitar sounds like it looks !!

Congrats Kevin on a wonderful sounding guitar! The low end and midrange sound spectacular and compliment the trebles beautifully.

Thanks, Paul--I'm expecting great things from this guitar. Steve gives us a preview below...

Thanks, Dennis--I'm hoping you'll play the Old Rugged Cross on it for me!

Steve and Ryan were generous enough to put together a video of this guitar before shipping it off. It should reach me tomorrow, and I'm giddy with anticipation.

It sounds very excellent to my ears already even this early in its guitar life. I'll let you all decide for yourself--and of course, I'll give my impressions once I have it in hand and become acquainted with it.

So what were these guys thinking letting me use this set of Padauk on a student guitar? Ryan replied that they like to call them "fatal lapses of generosity"--I'm definitely a humble and very grateful beneficiary!

Thanks much, Vasu--you just beat me to posting the video!

When's your next student build at Kinnaird West?
