Default The Proper Way covers "Lord," by Langhorne Slim

We were testing out some new gear today and decided to see how this new guitar tracked.

Guitar: Blueridge BR-140
Banjo: 1929 Vega Plectrum
Mic: AEA R84a

Hi midwinter!
Beautiful music. Your guitar sounds very nice, and your voice is even better.
Well done!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Rene! (That's actually not me singing—I'm the one playing the banjo). He and I both use very different guitars most of the time, but every guitar in our studio is a left-handed one of mine, so we decided to buy a cheap right-handed acoustic to keep there, and this is the one. Those Blueridge guitars are interesting. My experience is that when they're good, they're pretty good! This one isn't magical or anything, but it sounds pretty good for what it is.

I loved it! Good all over. I really liked the Banjo as you were subtle but added a lot to the song. I know the Banjo can go hog wild when it wants to but you had a nice touch. Just right for the recipe!

Thanks! We had a tracking session yesterday where it took about 15 takes to figure out that my banjo part was just two notes!
