Default "To Be With You Once Again" Original song - Cordoba Spruce/Indian Crossover

Haven't posted here in awhile, I hope there are some nylon fans running amuck. I wrote this at the very beginning of the pandemic after being separated from my Dutch partner. Things are indeed better now but now that it's time to start relearning this to record for a new album I figured I would share it's early stage before retracking on steel string.

It was meant to be a calm, pining sort of piece, as the title suggests. Hope it brings some enjoyment. I wish I had more time to write stuff like this nowadays. Still very happy to have recorded this when the composition was still young. If you enjoyed the tune please feel free to subscribe to my channel. I don't upload much but when I do you may see it pop up when browsing

All the best and happy holidays!

Oh my, Dustin, that's really beautiful! I kind of get part "sea scape" part "lullaby" all wrapped in wonderful playing and phrasing delivering you to another place and time.
Thanks for sharing......hope you are healthy and well, my friend!
Take care,
Fred

Your ear is sharp, Fred...I had a lot of Andrew York and Sun Kil Moon playing when I wrote this and there’s a tune about a small town by the sea that inspired this. The nylon really is an important composing tool for me since last year. Gives different moods that steel just can’t imitate I think. Hope you’re well too buddy. Just got my third booster today, hoping I’m not groggy tonight and tmw!

Smooth. Almost makes me miss my classical guitar. Well done.

Really beautiful tune. A little sad with rays of hope shining through.

I personally appreciate nylon a lot and think it's generally underrated/underutilized.

That is beautifully done, Dustin!

I really like the sound of the classical guitar and nylon strings on this piece. And very cleanly played. Nylon strings can be so noisy and you kept it all under control.

Very, very well done!

I agree, it inspired a handful of tunes that I now perform on steel but probably wouldn't have found otherwise. Thanks for listening!

Thanks Glen! I really like the extra reward with good technique on nylon. Granted this wasn't perfect, it felt a bit more clean than how I play steel in many ways. Hope you're well, amigo
