Default "Don't dream it's over" (Crowded House) Fingerstyle

Hi folks, this is my fingerstyle arrangement of "Don't Dream It's Over" - a great song of the 80s that was released in 1986 by the band Crowded House. It was written by lead singer Neil Finn. I have a lot of great memories from that time and I really like the song.

I wish you a nice weekend and send greetings from Hamburg,

Jimmy :-)

Super nice treatment, Jimmy. It's very pleasing to hear a stripped down elemental guitar-only version of such a complex and beautiful song.

Crowded House did a lot of great songs; truly some top notch songwriting along with the total package as performance material.

Hi Jimmy!

Whoa! Really well done Jimmy! This is my favorite Crowded House song, and you did a super job of bringing this to life on your guitar!

Lovely! I hope all is well for you there in Hamburg!

It’s stripped down but certainly not “simple”. It’s fantastically nuanced and extremely well played and produced. Great job.

Loved that. You did so well in arranging - you had the slap/reverb of the guitars, the vocal lead, and the keyboard (I think) solo all wrapped in. Nice feel, tone, and flawless playing.

Thank for sharing!

Cheers,

Dave

Jimmy -that was super and smooth and I will run out of adjectives…just great. As one of your YouTube commenters said, someday I hope to wake up and be able to play like you.
