Back in the 70's I got an Arhoolie sampler record, a double LP.

On that I first heard a bunch of folks, including Fred McDowell and Clifton Chenier. So yeah, grateful for the man, no question.

Yes. I first heard many of the artists who changed my life on Arhoolie. I doubt I’d play as I do if not for those lps.

I'm absolutely convinced that this guy is related to the WWII tank General Hyazinth v. Strachwitz und Camminetz. Same surname, same origins in Prussia, etc. Same technical ability and talent.
