Introduction and Variations on a Theme by Mozart, Op. 9, is one of Fernando Sor's most famous works for guitar. It was first published in London in 1821 and dedicated to Sor's brother Carlos. The theme is based on a melody from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute.

Fernando Sor (1778-1839) was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer. In Spain he is sometimes known as the "Beethoven of the Guitar". Although he is best known for his guitar compositions, he also composed music for a wide range of genres, including opera, orchestra, string quartet, piano, voice, and ballet. Sor's contemporaries considered him to be the best guitarist in the world.
