Default Brondel A-1c, Adirondack spruce and Pernambuco, Dead Mint, SOLD!

This is Laurent's slightly larger guitar (larger than his OM-size A-2, anyway). Same lateral arch design and sweet Brondel tone. Playability and finish are exquisite, and you have to love the smooth action of those Alessi tuners. This guitar has a lovely, well-developed bass but with plenty of punch and action in the mids and trebles, which is a signature part of Laurent's sound. The oil varnish finish is gorgeous and really brings the woods to life.

The pernambuco is very high quality: well quartered and straight-grained. There's even some light figuring.
  • Model: A-1c (14 fret), 25.6" scale
  • Top: Adirondack spruce
  • Back and Sides: Pernambuco
  • Nut Width: 1 3/4"
  • Bridge spacing: 2 5/16"
  • Bridge: Ebony
  • Bridge pins: Bone
  • Binding: Ebony
  • Rosette and purfling: "Double arrow" design
  • Pickguard: Tortoise celluloid
  • Neck: 1-piece mahogany
  • Fingerboard: Ebony
  • Profile: Standard (slim)
  • Frets: EVO gold 55090
  • Tuners: Alessi bronze
  • Case: Hoffee (green)

The guitar is in like-new condition. $OLD No trades or partial trades, please.

Drop dead gorgeous. There is not one spec on this guitar I’d change. Someday there will be a Brondel listed in my signature. The finest woods by one of my top 5 luthiers from a great seller. Best of luck.

I have a rule that I don’t bump threads twice, so I’ll just edit my original post. This guitar is so up my alley that it’s sitting next to my back door. I love the size, shape, the luthier, the wood, the nut and saddle size, and the jumbo frets! It would be exactly what I would order. But my guitar count is up to 14. I won’t sell my four vintage guitars, as they took me years to find. I can’t sell my Euphonon. The Martin, Borges, Sexauer, and Franklin 000/OMs, nor the Walter Millennium Spruce/Brazilian classical will never be sold. I have the Tippin on consignment and I’m not happy about that. But it is a duplication....maybe the Cervantes Master Cedar/Brazilian as I play my Walter more.....This guitar makes my brain spin. I wish I could pull it off. Best of luck with your sale, yet again.

Good luck Juston. Spent about an hour with my Pernambuco guitar this morning. It is one of my all time favorite tone woods. The one I played of Laurent’s was absolutely spectacular and a blast to play. Someone should grab this up before Juston comes to his senses and changes his mind!

I already changed my mind once!

Also, remind me never to record myself with my hair sticking up. Covid hair.

Oh my Gawd; you have 'Rona encephalitis. That is the only explanation. Take some of the dog's heartworm meds and reconsider!

Laurent makes his long scale guitars like this a traditional classical guitar with a 650 mm (25.5905") scale. That is the basis of the 25.6" scale measurement.

Like Mose Allison, a "jazz sage."
